Ibercaja is the eighth largest banking group in Spain and has been around for over 140 years, with 894 branches all over the country, it is the only bank in 100 towns and has a team of more than 4,500 people.

The challenge
Strengthening internal communication and sense of belonging for 4,500 employees
Ibercaja needed a partner to support them in making their internal communication with bank employees better and more effective, which would have a direct impact on their wellness and strengthen their sense of belonging. So, since 2018 we have been working with the bank to tackle challenges, as if we were just another member of the Ibercaja Human Resources Department, providing comprehensive design and communication consultancy services for all their internal actions.
The solution
We’re Ibercaja: The new employee portal, a centralized, accessible digital space
One of the biggest challenges the Ibercaja HR department has faced is centralizing all internal communication in one digital space, a site where employees have access to all their professional tools, can get the latest news, clock in and request vacation days, connect with other people at the bank, take part in various initiatives and much more.
We were by their side throughout, helping them with the content hierarchy and look of the interface to keep the brand’s visual identity unified and give employees the best user experience possible.
We also helped them with a launch and onboarding plan, teaching employees how to use the site and make the most of it, as well as helping them adapt to the new working environment.


We’ve become Ibercaja’s partner of choice
The launch of this new internal portal comes on top of countless other milestones reached with Ibercaja since we started supporting their internal team over 5 years ago, including the Flexiplan Onboarding or EFR campaigns, raising awareness of Ibercaja social perks and the Ibercaja Contigo transformation chronicles, among others
From the very beginning, we’ve tackled all the internal corporate communication challenges with them, contributing our creative expertise to design all sorts of audiovisual pieces, exploring different formats for the greatest impact on employees, reinforcing their tone, style and inclusive language, and even teaching internal communication training for the communication specialists and department heads at Ibercaja. In short, providing consultancy services for visual and communication strategy over the years.
This collaboration with the Ibercaja internal department has grown to be much more, allowing us to achieve new goals like the consolidated management report: a key document the group uses to provide an overview of their strategic lines, activities, business model and financial results.
